Australian Tarmac Rally, rebranded and launched in May 2020, is a company backed by tarmac rally enthusiasts who aim to produce value for money, top level tarmac rallies in and around the stunning Victorian Alpine and Gippsland regions. Cars compete against the clock at 20 second intervals over an approx 3.5km the same course based at the Perth Motorplex. The Whiteline Tarmac Rallysprint series is a closed motorsport event held within the confines of Sydney Dragway, using the bitumen car parks and access roads. The Whiteline Tarmac Rallysprint Series is held weeknights from 5pm during the daylight savings months from October to March with some of Sydney’s leading tuners and teams testing their skills as they navigate the stage against the clock. Start and finish of stages require a HAM operator to make sure competitors aren’t lost out in the woods. The rally relies on amateur radio operators to track cars, volunteers, and spectators to keep everyone safe. This event will deliver direct economic benefit to a region hit hard by bush fires in recent months, with 75 competing cars and crews, along with service crew teams and spectators attending the local area. The MSS Safety Gorge RallySprint, first run as the Adelaide RallySprint in 2019, is South Australia’s newest tarmac rally event.

A Rallysprint as defined by the Confederation of Australian Motorsport (CAMS) is for a Driver and Co-Driver competing in a Tarmac or Gravel Rally Car. For 2020, this NASA Rally Sport sanctioned compact rally features 73.7 miles of tarmac special stage deep in the hills of Upper East Tennessee.
