Furthermore, a great many of the effects in the original films — so polished in the Special Editions — have not aged at all well. At the very end of Return Of The Jedi, The Emperor is dead, Vader is redeemed, freedom and justice have been restored to the galaxy.

Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope (1977), Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back (1980), Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi (1983), Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999), Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones (2002), Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith (2005), Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi (2017). This third installment in the PT delivered in terms of a conclusion to an arc that many wanted quite a lot to succeed.

We should, Rister argued, keep to release order until the end of The Empire Strikes Back to maintain the big twist and enjoy Luke’s evolution from callow farmhand to fledgeling Jedi knight. Star Wars fan and software developer Rod Hilton proposed the machete order back in 2011. George Lucas

140 min Stars: Two Jedi escape a hostile blockade to find allies and come across a young boy who may bring balance to the Force, but the long dormant Sith resurface to claim their original glory. Perfection. | Gross: That step can be skipped but it shouldn’t be.

Now, skipping these two films is not what I intend to convey here. |

Then, with Han Solo frozen in carbonite and the shocking revelation of Luke’s parentage still ricocheting through our minds, we take a step back and embark on a three-film flashback. *Star Wars Droids will also never be on this particular list for the same reason why Star Wars Rebels will never be on this list $936.66M, PG-13 Action, Adventure, Fantasy. Taking place between Episodes III and Episode IV. Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi.

The twists and turns are kept intact, there’s no attempt to retrofit the saga into an ill-fitting Anakin’s story and we start the whole thing on a high. With an ending scene that will forever be reminisced and upheld by all Star Wars fans, we are reminded once again why this space opera is not just some other film franchise. By the end of Episode IV, you are left with two questions: When you begin watching Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back, you not only get answers to the questions that arose at the end of “A New Hope”, but also an insight into why George Lucas opted to make the saga in such an unorthodox fashion.

Bear in mind, I am no big fan of the ongoing sequel trilogy, and I will let know here itself that Ep. |

This post is my take on how the entire saga needs to be watched. John Boyega,

So no Jake Lloyd (“Yippee!”), precious little Jar Jar (“How wude.”), no weird Amidala/Padme identity confusion and, crucially, no discussion of midi-chlorians, the introduction of which is without doubt the most egregious example of Lucas’ tampering.

Disney Channel Original Movies Through the Years.

C-3PO’s origins also become murky but that’s hardly a major drawback. | Unfortunately, as fan edits, Silver Screen, Despecialized Editions and the 4K Projects are a breach of copyright and thus only available through less than legal channels.

Obsessed with Superman and DC Comics. The last Jedi fight to survive when they are hunted by the Empire.

Disney+ is the streaming centre of the Star Wars universe, playing host the original trilogy, the prequels, The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, and as of May 4th, The Rise Of Skywalker. Director: Stars: Director: Guy Boyd, PG Holland Gedney, Adam Driver, Votes: 931,125

You will realize upon watching Episodes IV, V, and VI as to why I am putting forward such a strong opinion here. Never seen as an innocent, we are introduced to him as a surly, sulking teenager with more than a touch of the Dark Side about him.

Donnie Yen, Votes: | I use the term ‘tricky’ mainly because let’s be honest; those movies are not really the greatest regarding storytelling, except for Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. But yes, the film is gorgeous with spectacular action and also giving us few new questions to ponder and wrack our brains till Episode VIlI came about a couple of months back. Stars: Sebastian Shaw no longer looks permanently surprised, Clive Revill is restored, Yub Nub is played in all its glory and Vader doesn’t let out a squirm-inducing “Nooooooooo!” as he lunges for The Emperor.

Natalie Portman, | Where we could have had new teenage characters from the Skywalker families, we are now bestowed upon with personalities who stand on their own right. Finally, in pursuing this order, viewers have to start with The Phantom Menace.

We weigh up the various options and provide the perfect Star Wars viewing guide.

Stars: Accept no substitute.
